In the late 1600s, the Taovayan
Empire, a confederation of the Caddo, Wichita, and Pawnee nations,
developed into a series of large city-states, well fortified and
existing almost wholly through and for trade with the rest of the
world.
One of the largest and most powerful of these Taovayan Trading Centers
was Fernandina, located at a place called Trader's Bend on the banks
of the Arkansas River in what is now Oklahoma.
And
that's virtually where you are right now! At Fernandina, on Trader's
Bend, the trading center of the Taovayan Empire.
